After a few missteps, From Software did the most intelligent option in regards to the Tenchu series, by giving it back to it's original creators in Acquire. After Tenchu 2 Acquire became a free spirit, making games like the Way of the Samurai series, Samurai Western, and most recently Way of the Ninja (which unfortunately won't make it to the US). Now coming full circle, they return to make a true sequel to one of my favorite game series of all time. Tenchu 4 is a direct sequel to PS2's Wrath of Heaven (or Xbox's Return from Darkness if you wish). And it looks like Acquire is once again reinventing the franchise, by taking advantage of the Wii's untapped potential. Improved combat, deeper sneaking techniques involving the use of hiding in darkness and the environment, control of animals, and what looks to be all new methods of dispatching enemies. This is a collection of trailers put together to show both a new direction for the series, and yet a return to form by bringing back both Rikimaru and Ayame! I call these the Ultimate 7, and they play out as follows... 1. Shuriken Leg Spasm? 2. The Wii Debut 3. Kitten Play 4. Plaintive Song 5. Assassins of the Dark 6. Your Ninja Actions 7. Ayame Plays Kick Ball! NOTES: I do not understand YT's (or WMM's) quality standards, but apparently I blew it for this one, sorry. The graphics look better than this, so please don't judge them based on YT/WMM quality. Also you might wonder why I didn't subtitle this video. I didn't think that it needed it.
