Steph & Shiner

It all started with when I went to UFA with my mom to get clippers for my dog. I was looking at some horse for sale ads on the bulliten board, espceically some Appalossas then all of a sudden my mom called: "Look Stephanie, they are selling Standardbreds!" I had made up my mind in the second I was going to buy one. Standardbreds are my all time foavroite horse breed and my previous horse Shady, may she rest in peace, was a beautiful Standardbred. I looked at the two ads there was a 4 yearold gelding and a 3 year old filly. I took pictures of the ads and hurried my mom up so we could go home and call the owner. After an hour or so, we were finally home and I told my dad all about the filly, the one I had fallen in love with. We called the owner right away and she sounded perfect! Then my dad said the unbelievable, "We'll be there in 20 minutes." :O And just like that, I was petting Shiner's neck 20 minutes later, totally in love. I tried her out and was a dream, especially for a 3 year old filly. She has the maturity of an 8 year old mare! The next day I invited my fellow cowboy girl, Melissa, and her mother to come see Shiner. She was amazing as usual. So once again, we went home and talked to my dad and he did the unbelievable again! "Yes, we would like to buy Shiner. We will be there to pay for her tomorrow." I almost died of happiness!! On Wednseday, May 28, 2008, Shiner finally came home! We totally clicked. She is the perfect horse for me and I am perfect for her!
