An Average Midwestern Wedding

I wrote this one because I was snoring. No, wait.... What happened was I was snorning (I was told) and got kicked out of bed so I went into the other room with plans of sleeping on the futon. Well, the futon was covered in boxes with old photos and it was 2 a.m. and I didn't have my glasses on and when I moved one of the boxes, some photos of a family wedding spilled out and I picked up one of the photos and held it close -- I didn't have my glasses on, after all -- and I said to myself, "Gee. That was an average Midwestern wedding." When I awoke the next morning, the thought stuck in my head, and I wrote this tune. It's all basically true, except for a detail here and there. If you've ever been to a wedding in the Midwest, you know what I'm talking about....
