i ♥ that song so frickin much!!!!!! :D CHAPTER 4 The next day, after Ashley had finally gotten some sleep, the phone rang. She was puzzled. Usually no one called the house phone, they usually called her cell. She picked it up. "Hello?" she answered groggily, still tired, because she got like, no sleep that night. "Hey girl, why didn't you answer your cell?" It was her friend Christina. "I never heard it ring apparently, that's weird, I should've, I never turn my ringer off." She looked around her room for it. "Shit, I don't see it, I gotta go, I need to find it." "Ok, bye." Christina hung up, and Ashley did too. Ashley quickly called her cell. No ring. Then she thought back to the night before. "Shit, it must of fell out of my purse." She left for the arena. About an hour later, she was at the arena. She immediately went to the lost and found. There was some old fat dude behind the counter eating nachos. She walked up to him. "Hey, do you have a cell phone here by any chance, I lost mine last night." He nodded, and while still eating, he grabbed a phone out from behind the counter. "This it?" he said, with his mouth full. Ashley just nodded, kind of grossed out. He handed her the phone, which was now covered in nacho cheese. "Um, thanks...I think." She wiped the phone off with her shirt. The dude responded by shoving a big, cheesy nacho down his mouth. Ashley walked away quickly, afraid she'd barf if she watched any more. She flipped open her phone, making sure no one messed with it. 'Yup, still normal.' She flipped it open to call Christina back. She went to her contacts, and froze. Right under Christina, was a new one, one she hadn't seen before. Nick Jonas. His NUMBER. And a note. She read it. "I trust you'll share this with NO ONE." She stared at it, then pressed a button. She slowly put the phone up to her ear. It rang about 5 times, then someone picked it up. "Hello?" Ashley asked, her mouth suddenly dry. "Ashley?" a voice said questionably, almost hopefully. "Nick?" she said back. "Yup." "But, WHY did you...you know...that's KIND of dangerous to do...considering you're famous...what if this number had fallen into the wrong hands?" "Well, DID it fall into the wrong hands?" he said simply, even though he already knew the answer. "Well, no, I mean, I'm not gonna give it out or anything, that would be mean, and besides, WHO could I give it to anyway, most of my friends think your music sucks anyways...no offense." she paused. "Um, none taken...I guess..." "but...WHY did you give this to me, out of all girls?" She was DYING to know. "Well, you looked pretty miserable then, and I just thought you'd needed a friend. Ashley smiled, but then frowned. "So, like a pity thing?" she said sadly. "No, nothing like that!" he said quickly. "Oh, good!" she said relieved. Nick relieved too, glad he didn't have to tell her the reason why. Ashley smiled. "Oh yeah, after our tour's over, which is in a few weeks, we're gonna be in you're area for a while, well, New York City, for 2 weeks I think, and well, maybe you could come up and see us, it's not too far is it?" Nick said, out of breath. He said it so quickly, it took her a while to comprehend. Her mouth dropped. "Well, it's a couple hours away, but I could manage, I could come and stay with my aunt, she lives down there!" she said happily. "Sure, sounds good, so...she you then I guess." Ashley was grinning ear-to-ear. "Yeah," she said dreamily. She heard someone call to Nick in the background. "Ug, I gotta go, Kevin says I need my 'beauty rest.'" "Trust me, you don't need it." She said dreamily, then realized what she said. "Um...I...uh..." Nick laughed and blushed a little. "Well, I gotta go, so bye!" "Yeah, bye," Ashley said, with a hint of sadness in her voice. Nick noticed. "Hey, I'll call you tomorrow, after our interview, ok?" Ashley perked up. 'YES!' she thought to herself. "Ok, bye." she listened to Nick hang up the phone, and just stayed on the line, not wanting to get off. She finally hung up, and just fell asleep, but with a big smile on her face.
